It’s Hall of Fame weekend. An alumni game will be at 6:00 on Friday. Anyone can play for $25 which includes a t-shirt.

That wraps up the high school portion for the weekend! BIG weekend for all of them!

Other events wise, it’s a quiet weekend but we found a couple of interesting things going on.

On Sunday the Rockpile Museum will hold the grand opening of a traveling exhibit from the Smithsonian Museum titled “The Way We Worked” – from 2-4

So cool!! Gillette will be the 4th stop for the exhibit in Wyoming and the only one in this part of the state. Northeast Wyoming has not hosted a Smithsonian exhibit in recent memory so definitely, a do not miss event!

The museum has also put together a local display to complement the Smithsonian exhibit. That display will focus on local businesses from 1892 to now!

The exhibit will be on display through July 15th.

More information is available on the county website: https://www.ccgov.net/317/Rockpile-Museum

On Saturday morning beginning at 7:15, the Spring Zinger 5K will kick off the “Feet Don’t Fail Me Now” annual race series hosted by CCPRD. The Spring Zinger begins and ends at the McDonald’s on Westover Road this year. Race day registration ends at 7:00. Pre-registration through the Rec Center is recommended. For more information see the county website: https://www.ccgov.net/Calendar.aspx?EID=7843 or call the Rec Center at 682-8527
